@TheKoolvin i live 1/8 mile from my tower and first month of service i got 5 to 6 but now i get .28 and i have never missed a payment. modem and network have never been moved. computer is clean from a freah format and clean install.(only windows) and the last thing i did that was heavy traffic was last month when i backed up my hd to norton site. the capped me for backing up my hd one freaking time. and i am still paying for 6 speeds
i pay for 6.0 and i am capped down to .28 now that i am four months in. the first month it was at 5 to 6 now .28 freaking bull. i am not a heavy user i back up my files to norton backup site and retrieve files and look at youtube vids. i hate clearwire now. once my contract is over i am so going back to comcast even if i have to pay 40 bucks more a month
I had Clearwire once, and had the same experience. I called their tech support and the assholes made me do all sorts of stupid tests and pings and crap as though they didn’t know their speeds suck.
The reason for this is pretty obvious. I can take a cell phone into the bottom floor of a carpark and show that ATT sucks. Location location location. If I were to show you my speed test, you’d see 15Mb/s, because I’m right next to the tower.

At 375 ms ping, you are not in the service are, that is why you are getting lousy speed. i average about 70 ms ping.
I use Clear 4G service at home, at work, and at customer locations. The service itself and coverage are phenomenal and for the few issues I have had, Customer Care has been incredibly responsive and truly seems to care about the overall experience. I felt like my issue was taken seriously and that the agent was genuinely motivated to resolve my issue and ensure that I was very satisfied as a customer. I highly recommend Clear to anyone looking for an excellent, stable provider!

You weren’t paying attention at all… I open a network monitor program in this video which shows how much traffic has taken place and its only 1mb.
All the other icons that are running I explain to you on your other comment. Just because you like your Clearwire service doesn’t make it good.
LOL This guy has Utorrent running. As he zooms to the bottom right corner you see the program runing. TURN IT OFF – UR DOWNLOADING HUGE FILES while testing, no wonder ur speedtest are slow. WOW!
I have been upgraded to their WiMax service for 6 months now and its worse for me than the previous service. My new video is a Speedtest using Clear WiMax.

I thought I give the home and mobile I try for 7 days…..sux to be me. There’s a big hill block their signal to my house…spent 2 hours with techs ….they said I can’t be save. so for the mobile, I went around town getting less than 1mb download. Unless I’m next by a windows, I’m ok. But if I’m in a building with no windows, I’m screwed, no signals….guess CLEAR is not very CLEAR for me….sux to be me.
They just “upgraded me” to wimax. It still sucks. I have had spent too much time with tech support to think anything will help but a class action suite I don”t think that will even help but it will piss them off which is all I really think I can accomplish at this point,

Yes… I figured people would relate the two since WiMax is only offered through the company name Clear even if its the same people. But I should have been very specific.
Clear is Clearwire… the same company essentially but its a different internet technology. Its Wireless via WiMax and I have never used WiMax. My service is Clearwire which I assume is more akin to WiFi. Hence the site is “ClearwireBlows”.

I should have posted this in the video. This speed test was performed in Texas. Obviously we don’t get near 4mbps down and they don’t even offer a 3.0mbps plan.
