This is the download speed I often got, even I was promised 2mbps. See it yourself. Don’t every use this service. it really really sucks. Also, some of its tech support guys are very rude and refused to help you.

@leathledood221 MINE LAGS ON RUNESCAPE i get like 2-3-4 bars mostly 2-3 annnnnddd im on wireless wow fk clearwire ima hack some neibors enternets f this
ALSO…lol! The advertised Clearwire speed is around 6 to 8….I think. YOU ARE INSANE if you think you are going to have good results on anything below 16 megs, get real, get out your wallet, & get ready to PAY for mega speed cable if you want to smile while playing COD 4! Been there, done that! Clearwire is outstanding for normal internet stuff, BUT you gotta be where the signal is! Have them send a tech out to check the speed. If they cant get u what u pay for then u get out of contract
I’ve had 14 down and still COD 4 sucked! You need around 20 to play COD 4 unless you are really good at glitching, OR VERY quick with the trigger. It’s wirleess…it’s a *** radio signal! **** There is going to be interference with radio signals. Ceiling fans, microwave ovens, double pane windows, trees, being further away from the tower, nearby military bases, nearby radio stations, etc. If you would READ, or listen before you sign stuff you would see 2 YEAR CONTRACT. 10 megs and under!
Clearwire is HORRIBLE!!! Cuts off for hours! Speeds vary from 3 meg DL to .6. Customer service says its getting fixed soon..> For the past 6 months! Scam scam scam scam scam!
@e10kpro canned processed meat by product….spam. (and no i didn’t flag this comment as spam…even though it clearly is.)
does’nt anybody from clearwire read these comments? if you do…your company is ripping people off. people are paying for a service that barely receive. i pay for “up to” 1.7 mbps but i receive (on average) .35 mbps. your 2 year contract blows. the service you provide is piss poor at best. you owe your costumers an apology and money. you’re taking hard eared money from american consumers and giving them a slap in the face for it. i wish i payed by the mbps. that would be fair.
I use Clear 4G service at home, at work, and at customer locations. The service itself and coverage are phenomenal and for the few issues I have had, Customer Care has been incredibly responsive and truly seems to care about the overall experience. I felt like my issue was taken seriously and that the agent was genuinely motivated to resolve my issue and ensure that I was very satisfied as a customer. I highly recommend Clear to anyone looking for an excellent, stable provider!
now, good things about clear and bad thngs.. clear works best in the morning cuz the a.m radio signals do not interfear with the internet signals

wtf clearwire is hela fast on my laptop
Current download Speed : 8-12 KB/s! Pathetic.
this friggen sucks i have 4 bars and its slow as hell
clearwire is so unreliable. sometimes it can give you good speeds and you wont have to let streaming videos sit and load, but for the other 98% of the time that its about as fast as dial up. sometimes i get even slower than dial up download speeds, seriously like 40kb/s. I love trying to download a gb+ file that takes 2-3 weeks :/
Dial-up is better than this shit.
1-3 bars is actually sufficient for doing as you mentioned but yeah the service will get you through tough times because it is affordable and there is really no cap on usage and you can primarily surf as much as you want to. Just depends on ones needs and what one is willing to pay for. As for myself I’m on a budget and very cheap. FYI, Verizon wirless broadband truly sucked and was way overpriced. Upgrade to Clearwire and saved.
@justsomeoneallen,you are primarily wasting your time if you failed to know what you were getting into. I went with Clearwire for affordability. If you were not prepared to commit to a plan then why did you sign up for it in the first place. Verizon, Cingular/ATT, even Sprint all have the same bullshit commitment/ETF crap so this is nothing new with Clearwire or any other carrier. FYI, other carriers have actually been known to charge if you go over a certain usage amt. Clearwire is unlimited.
cant go anywhere though, portable internet thats mobile will have its limitations. Clearwire is a mobile internet solution if u want hardwired internet stay with a company like comcast. No point in comparing the two one is mobile and portable the other is hardwired.
@DJTEVAdotCOM it probably depends on location and how many share the same antenna. I have the 3mbs plan, ran the same speed test several times and got up to 4.2mbs. I recommend the month to month plan so people can move out if it starts to suck. For me it’s no brainer, same price as ATT 1.5 mbs, twice the speed and it works very well in my location.
if you thought u could use wireless internet for gaming your sadly mistaken. Its a known fact wireless connections are NEVER recomended for gaming..
I thought I give the home and mobile I try for 7 days…..sux to be me. There’s a big hill block their signal to my house…spent 2 hours with techs ….they said I can’t be save. so for the mobile, I went around town getting less than 1mb download. Unless I’m next by a window, I’m ok. But if I’m in a building with no windows, I’m screwed, no signals….guess CLEAR is not very CLEAR for me….sux to be me.
Cricket is freaking way better
There is a class action suit over cancellation fees but none over deceptive advertisement. Filed a complaint with the FCC, BBB and am about to file a complaint with the state attorney generals office, Lets get together on a class action suit.
